Tomisha is a native Memphian, who has been dancing since the age of 10 and teaching since 20. She is a graduate of Bates College in Lewiston, Maine, where she majored in dance. Since graduating in 2015, she has choreographed four musicals, including "Once on This Island" at Hutchison and "Crowns the Musical" at the Hattiloo Theater in Memphis. She has taught for Out Loud Artistry in Homestead, FL, and more recently, she spent the past 4 years as an Instructor and Performing Artist with New Ballet Ensemble and School in Memphis, TN. She was a member of their professional company while teaching Ballet, Modern, Jazz, and West African to ages 3 through 18. Tomisha is a firm believer that it’s the artist's job to positively impact the world around them. She strives to accomplish this goal, through the pieces she produces and the classes that she teaches. Tomisha believes, there is no greater way to impact the world, than helping those who will one day run it.
